Race Ministry of Grace Connection |
Not many churches have a "Race Ministry". But the ministry at Grace Connection that reaches out to race teams and drivers of all kinds in all places is called Crosseyed Race Team. Several events happen that make this a unique ministry that is an outreach program of the church. The biggest of the year is our Annual Racecar Dedication Day that is held in the spring here at the church. We send out flyers to local tracks and invite everyone that's interested to show up on a Sunday afternoon to join us for food, fun, fellowship and some good prayer. 2009 proved to be another great year for the event. With approximately 300 people in attendance it was a great day for God's people and the mission of reaching outside the walls of the church. A car show that had some great looking cars and trophies were given out. After that, we gathered around each car and had a group prayer for individual cars, drivers and crews. It was a great time to share the Lord with the people that had shown up. We had some guest Pastors present that took turns praying over the cars with us. Here are a few pictures from the 2008 event.
